Wedding #1 Commission: Feather Neckpiece

A simplistic but elegant design. This neckpiece is a deviation of my Lamina necklace, which was a piece the customer really liked. However for such a special occasion we both agreed something specially made for her would be more fitting. Apart from the design being critical the customer asked for the piece to be wearable casually as well.

It is based on feathers, the detail minimalized but still beautiful - if I may say so myself. Each segment was hand-sawed from sterling silver and given two different polishes. The quill a high polish and the feather imitations a satin finish. They hang on from a cable necklet.

On a side note the neckpiece, unknowingly (commission faux pas XD), complimented the dress well.
